What’s gained and what’s lost for you as a writer?

I gained some knowledge on how to better teach diversity to a diverse classroom for my future classroom as a future educator. Coexistence is a popular topic right now, so not much is lost as a writer or an audience member. The sources I researched gave me great insight for my future classroom.

For your audience?

My audience can gain some knowledge on how to teach diversity to a diverse classroom. You gain some perspective into different cultures and you gain the ability to recognize that our differences are something to celebrate rather than ignore.

How did your understanding of your topic shift as you mediated your writing?

I personally found it enlightening. My understanding didn’t necessarily shift as much as it was further informed. I found the section on “defining the different terms of diversity” to be particularly interesting.
